12 PASSENGERS DIE IN KADUNA-ABUJA ROAD CRASH
Twelve passengers were confirmed dead after their bus crashed on the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway on Monday.
Six persons injured in the incident were rushed to hospital.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan confirmed that there were 18 persons on board the Toyota Hiace bus.
The bus took off from Kaduna and was headed for Abuja.

Aruwan said the accident happened around Nasarawa Doka in Kachia local council.
“The crash involved a lone Toyota Hiace bus conveying 18 passengers from Kaduna to Abuja. The cause of the crash has been identified as a brake failure following a tyre explosion.
“Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness at the report, and sent condolences to the families of the perished victims, as he wished the injured persons a quick recovery,” he said.
