AJIMOBI IS NOT DEAD – AIDE, FAMILY DEBUNK RUMOUR
The family members and aide of the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi have dismissed rumour claiming that the Senator is dead.
By evening on Thursday, June 18, there were apprehensions within the APC family in Oyo State as rumour of the Senator’s death filtered when some social media users reported that the Senator died as a result of COVID-19.
Bolaji Tunji, media aide to Senator Abiola Ajimobi described as untrue reports of his death.
“The story is not true, please. My attention has been drawn to the rumour circulating on the social media about my principal. Kindly disregard. We, however, continue to pray for him. Thank you all for the show of concern,” Tunji said.

The daughter-in-law of the Senator, Fatima Ganguje-Ajimobi, also took to her twitter handle and dismissed the speculations about the death of the Senator.
She tweeted, “Thank you for all the messages, but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is our time we will all die; so wait first.”
Reports say, Ajimobi, the newly appointed acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been receiving treatment for suspected COVID-19 ailment in a Lagos hospital for close to two weeks.
