AKEREDOLU SETS TO OPEN WORSHIP CENTRES IN ONDO
The Ondo State Government is set to open worship centres in the State.
This follows recent successes recorded in the containment of the Coronavirus Pandemic in the State.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu made this announcement yesterday during his weekly briefing on COVID-19 in the state.
Akeredolu said he would meet with religious leaders and other stakeholders within the State to explore ways of returning religious worship to the society.
Akeredolu promised to accelerate the consultations and review after which ‘the people will hear from me very soon.’
He stated that his greatest concerns were interstate importation and community transmission of COVID-19.
As of May 17th, 2020, According to the NCDC, Ondo has recorded 20 cases of Coronavirus.
Of the 20 cases, 6 are active and are on admission, 13 discharges have been made, and 1 death has been recorded.
