BREAKING: BUHARI WITHDRAWS ALL COVID SECURITY PERSONNEL IN RIVERS STATE AS IGP ORDERS IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF LOCKDOWN VIOLATORS
President Muhammadu Buhari has withdrawn all the security personnel attached to the Rivers State COVID-19 Task Force while the Inspector General of Police has also ordered the release of all those locked in police cells for COVID-19 violation.
Recall that Eons Intelligence reported that the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria threatened to withdraw operations across the country if its arrested members are not released within 48 hours.
A few days ago, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike faced heavy criticism from the public when he supervised the demolition of two hotels in the state for violating the lockdown order imposed to check the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
