COVID-19: UK TO RELAX LOCKDOWN FROM JULY 4TH

The United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has announced that the lockdown in the country would be relaxed from July 4th.


According to the BBC, the Prime Minister said bars, restaurants, hotels and salons can open, but warned that people shall remain two metres apart where possible.


However, the Johnson added that all actions were changeable added that two households in England would also be able to meet indoors and stay overnight, while still observing social distancing.


“One set of grandparents could see their relatives one weekend, and the other set of grandparents the next,’’ the Prime Minister said.


As of June 24th, the UK has recorded 306,210 cases and 42,927 deaths of covid-19.
