GOVERNOR GANDUJE SHUTS DOWN ALL SCHOOLS IN KANO STATE
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has shut down all public and private schools in the State.
This development comes on the heels of reports indicating that there is a surge in the number of COVID-19 infections recorded in Nigeria.
Muhammed Kiru, the State’s Commissioner for Health, announced this late on Tuesday, December 15.
He said the decision is connected to the resurgence of the COVID-19.
"Parents whose children are in boarding schools are also to arrange and convey their children/wards back home from Wednesday.
"All inconveniences are regretted," he said.
Recall that Eons Intelligence reported on Tuesday that the Jigawa and Kaduna State Government ordered the immediate shutdown of all schools due to the rising cases of Coronavirus.
Multiple reports confirm that the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Saturday went into isolation following reported cases of positive COVID-19 cases recorded by persons close to him.
Governor El-Rufai had earlier warned residents that he would impose another lockdown if the number of cases keeps rising.
The Federal Government alerted all Isolation centres to be ready for reopening.
