The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, on Thursday inspected state-of-the-art intelligence installations at Idu Community, Abuja, as part of efforts to strengthen intelligence-led policing in Nigeria.
The visit marked a strategic engagement between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and indigenous security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a local security solutions provider, aimed at enhancing national security architecture.
Accompanied by senior officers, including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), the IGP emphasized that intelligence gathering remains the backbone of effective policing in the 21st century.
Egbetokun noted that under his leadership, the Force is committed to leveraging technology, innovation, and both local and international expertise to tackle emerging security threats. He stressed that the partnership with EIB STRATOC will not only boost operational efficiency but also foster public trust and strengthen collaboration with critical stakeholders in the security sector.
The IGP further commended the expertise of EIB STRATOC and called on other security experts, as well as Nigerians, to support the Police and other security agencies in advancing technology-driven intelligence gathering for improved internal and national security.
