LAGOS, OGUN RECORD 3 COVID-19 DEATH

3 patients have died from Coronavirus-related complications in Lagos and Ogun states. 


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its COVID-19 Situation Report on Tuesday.


According to the NCDC report, 7 other patients died of Coronavirus in Bauchi, Federal Capital Territory, Borno, and Katsina.


With the 10 fatalities recorded, no fewer than 191 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in the country.


Part of the report reads; “Nine deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in six states – Bauchi (2), FCT (2), Lagos (2), Borno (1), Katsina (1), and Ogun (1),” 


The situation report showed that of the 191 COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria, 38 were recorded in Lagos,

The NCDC said, “Two hundred and sixteen (216) confirmed cases were reported in the last 24 hours in 15 states – 

Lagos (74), 

Katsina (33), 

Oyo (19), 

Kano (17), 

Edo (13), 

Zamfara (10), 

Borno (8),

Gombe (8), 

Ogun (8), 

Bauchi (7), 

Kwara (7), 

FCT (4), 

Enugu (3),

Kaduna (3)

Rivers (2).


“No new state recorded a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 24 hours. The total number of states including FCT that have reported at least one confirmed case in Nigeria is still 35 (34 states + FCT).


“50 cases were discharged in the last 24 hours in nine (9) states – Bauchi (14), Zamfara (11), Borno (8), Sokoto (5), Enugu (4), Adamawa (2), Gombe (2), Kaduna (2), and Ogun (2).”
