MINISTERS DETAINED AS ARMED SOLDIERS TAKE OVER SUDAN IN OVERNIGHT COUP

Reports indicate that armed soldiers in Sudan launched an offensive onslaught against the nation's authorities in what looks like yet another military coup in a country ravaged by political instability.

It was gathered that the nation's Prime Minister, Abdalla Hamdok, was taken into custody by soldiers on Monday morning after armed troops stormed his residence.

Local reports indicate that five ministers and a media aide to the Prime Minister were also whisked away by the armed troops.

Multiple online sources also say that internet outages were confirmed in Khatourn, the nation's capital.

The Sudanese Professionals Association has reacted to the Military takeover. In a statement, they urged all citizens to protest against the coup.
