NIGERIANS IN MALAYSIA SET TO BE EVACUATED
Nigerians stranded in Malaysia would be evacuated this week, according to the Nigeria High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
The Nigeria High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, on May 21, told interested persons to pay for their tickets.
The Nigerian mission said that the evacuation trip will be carried out by Air Peace Airlines.
Report indicates that those interested have started paying $1,000 (N390,000) for economy class and $1,400 (N546,00) for business class.
The mission noted that the evacuation flight would be executed if those who have bought tickets are up to 300 passengers.
Ferdinand Nwonye, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that he can not ascertain the number of intending passengers because the mission has not submitted names of the those interested in the evacuation.
The first batch of returnees who were quarantined after being evacuated from the United States of America have been released from Isolation centre on Monday.
