POLICE NEUTRALIZE NOTORIOUS ABUJA BANDIT, FOIL KIDNAPPING ATTEMPT

In a daring operation, operatives of the Department of Federal Intelligence-Intervention Response Team (DFI-IRT) successfully neutralized a notorious bandit leader in the suburbs of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on 5th February 2024, thwarting a potential kidnapping attempt. The operation, which commenced at approximately 1015HRS, saw law enforcement agents acting on precise intelligence regarding the hideout of the criminal syndicate led by Isa Dei-Dei.

Upon arrival at the location, the bandits, upon spotting the approaching police, attempted to flee. Undeterred, the DFI-IRT operatives swiftly pursued them, initiating a fierce exchange of gunfire. In the intense confrontation, Isa Dei-Dei, the ringleader, was neutralized by the law enforcement agents. Despite the successful elimination of the notorious criminal, several other members of the syndicate managed to escape, albeit with gunshot wounds sustained during the shootout.

In light of this development, law enforcement authorities are urging members of the public, particularly medical practitioners, to remain vigilant and report any individuals seeking medical attention for gunshot injuries. This call to action aims to facilitate further investigations into the whereabouts and activities of the fleeing bandits.
