SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WOULD NOT SIT FOR 2020 WAEC EXAMS- FG

Final year students in Nigeria secondary schools will not participate in this year's WAEC exams due to Coronavirus concerns, the Federal Government has said.


The Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu made this announcement after a virtual Federal Executive Council held on Wednesday, July 8. 


Adamu said that no school would be opened until it is considered safe.


He also urged the West African Examination Council and other state governments to reconsider their decision to open for exams.


Eons Intelligence reported that the Minister  on Monday, announced at the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams will hold between August 4th and September 5th, 2020.
