SENATE CONFIRMS NABABA HALIRU AS COMPTROLLER GENERAL OF NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE
Haliru Nababa has been confirmed as the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service by the Nigeria Senate.
This was announced on Wednesday according to Tweet by the Nigeria Senate.
Following his screening under the Chairmanship of Senator Kashim Shettima,.he was confirmed on the recommendation of the Senate Committee on Interior.
Senator Kashim Shettima said during the presentation, that the Committee found the nominee worthy of the position as no petition was received against him.
“The Nominee possesses the educational qualification for the position; the nominee is not affiliated to any political party, the nominee is within the age bracket for the recommendation,” Senator Shettima told the House.
Senator Abba Moro supported the motion.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan read the President's letter seeking the confirmation of Nababa at the plenary.
