TCN RESTORES POWER TO KADUNA AS NLC SUSPENDS FIVE-DAY WARNING STRIKE
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored power supply on most of its 33KVA feeders in Kaduna State.
This comes after the Kaduna State chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) suspended its FIVE-DAY warning strike.
The TCN also said the Kaduna Distribution Company (KAEDCO) has indicated readiness to pick supply.
In a statement by Ndidi Mbah, TCN general Manager of Public Affairs, the 33kV feeders on which TCN had restored power to include; Mogadishu, Abakwa, Nigerian Airforce Base, Ungwa Dosa, Turunku, Arewa, Airport, Kinkinau, Narayi and Independence feeders.
She said the Jaji and Rigasa feeders had also been energised while Olam, PAN and UNTL are about to be energised
She said; “The Waterworks feeder was energised but tripped as a result of a fault.
“TCN will continue to gradually restore supply on the other feeders as soon as KAEDCO indicates readiness to take supply.”
