THE COUNTRY IS ON VENTILATOR GASPING FOR AIR - PDP ASKS PRESIDENT BUHARI TO RESIGN
The People's Democratic Party(PDP) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over corruption-related issues in federal agencies and growing security threats in the country.
Prince Uche Secondus, National Chairman of the party, said this during a press conference on Friday, July 24.
He accused Buhari of not proffering solutions to curb corruption and insecurity as he promised during his campaign in 2015 and 2019.
At the press briefing tagged, ‘Nigeria a free fall as corruption, Insecurity engulfs our nation,’ the opposition party chairman said it was now evident that the Buhari administration has ‘run out of propaganda with regards to the worsening security situation in Nigeria.’

He noted that the recent decision of over 300 soldiers to resign from service and the call by the National Assembly for the service chiefs to resign has put a lie to the “press statement” victories of Boko Haram elements.
Speaking further, Secondus cited the ongoing corruption probe into the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), North-East Development Commission (NEDC), Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (ITF), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and others, stating that Nigeria under Buhari’s watch was on a ventilator gasping for air.

“What we are witnessing in our country today is a total collapse of the nation, the country is on ventilator gasping for air, under such circumstance. President Buhari should do the honourable thing required of an elder statesman in situations like this, throw in the towel and save the country from ruins,” Secondus said.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had earlier described All Progressives Congress (APC) as the headquarters of corruption, Eons Intelligence reports.
It also said that the stench of corruption oozing out of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has further confirmed that the 'APC is the dockyard of thieves, treasury looters, and oppressive cabal who have stolen our nation dry.'
