THE LEAKED MATHEMATICS EXAM PAPER IS FAKE - WAEC
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has said the leaked mathematics exam question paper circulating is Fake.
This year's WAEC examination is poised to hold on Monday, August 17th, 2020.
However, it's commencement on Monday had been dominated by reports of leaked questions for mathematics, which is the first subject to be taken by candidates.
A Twitter user had tweeted; “WAEC maths paper scheduled for today has leaked since weekend according to sources. See the paper here. What kind of a country is this for God’s sake??? I hope the people responsible will be investigated and punished as appropriate."
The Exams council has however responded to the development by saying the rumoured leaked question paper is fake.
The exam body also called on candidates and the general public to disregard the information, and attributes the development to fraudsters.
WAEC tweeted; "This is fake. Scammers do this every year. Only gullible candidates fall prey."
This year's WAEC exams was earlier scheduled for April but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
