Tinubu Orders Security Agencies to Hunt Down Kasuwan Daji Attackers
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the military, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Department of State Services (DSS) to track down and apprehend those responsible for the recent terrorist attack on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the President instructed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the DSS to ensure the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice. He also ordered the immediate rescue of all victims abducted during the attack.
President Tinubu strongly condemned the assault, which claimed the lives of several villagers and led to the abduction of women and children.
He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Niger State.
Describing the attackers as criminals who have tested the nation’s resolve, the President vowed that they and anyone who aids or supports them would face the full weight of the law. He assured residents that security agencies have been mandated to intensify operations around vulnerable communities, particularly areas close to forests known to serve as hideouts for criminal elements.
The President also urged Nigerians to remain united and avoid divisive rhetoric that could undermine national security during the challenging period.
