TRAFFIC BUILDS IN LAGOS AS TRUCK RAMS INTO BILLBOARD

A truck carrying granite has rammed into a billboard at Berger, inward Secretariat, causing a traffic build-up in the area. 


Officers from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are on ground to remove the damaged billboard and truck which has broken down as a result of the accident. 

LASEMA DG Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu said no one died in the accident, adding that traffic has been diverted. 


Commuters are advised to use an alternative route or exercise patience. 


The accident occurred amid an ongoing 'operation show your driver's license and vehicle document' launched by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) which was launched on Monday, September 14.


The exercise was embarked upon to curb the incessant incident of road crashes, especially truck-related accidents in the state.
