TRAIN KILLS KILL 47 COWS IN OSUN
A Kwara-bound train on Wednesday killed up to 47 cows in Osogbo, Osun State.
The incident occurred behind the regional office of Transmission Company of Nigeria, Powerline in Osogbo at about 3 PM.
Eyewitnesses say the last coach of the train which was carrying stones detached while in motion and ran over the cows.
“We just heard a loud noise and the animals were moving not far from the rail line. Many of them were crushed. About 47 animals worth N10m were lost,” one of the affected herdsmen, Rabiu Ismail told journalists.
