Troops Neutralize Bandits, Recover Weapon in Plateau State
Troops of 3 Division, under Operation SAFE HAVEN, have neutralized two bandits and recovered a weapon during an ambush operation in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Acting on credible intelligence regarding the movement of bandits through Nemaledu Village in Gimbi District, troops on 15 May 2025 laid a successful ambush at a known crossing point. During the encounter, the troops made contact with the bandits, neutralizing two and recovering a fabricated AK-47 rifle from the scene.
Operation SAFE HAVEN reiterated its unwavering commitment to eliminating criminal elements within its Joint Operations Area, assuring the public that there will be no hiding place for those threatening the peace of the region.
