UPDATE: HOODLUMS RETURN LOOTED ITEMS IN ADAMAWA
Hoodlums, on Wednesday, October 28, have returned some of the items looted from the Adamawa State in the last one week.
The development comes on the heels of reports stating that the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, was set to begin a door-to-door search for items looted by hoodlums in the State.
Eons Intelligence earlier reported that the Governor also gave the looters 12 hours to return all stolen goods or houses containing such items will be demolished.
It was gathered that a number of residents of Yola and Jimeta have started returning the stolen items to their wards heads while some dropped them on the roads for the authorities to pick.
Some of the items returned include refrigerators, tractor parts, water pumps, office furniture, medical equipment and bags of fertilizer.
Recall that Governor Fintiri declared a 24-hour curfew on Sunday, October 25, following looting of Government and Private Warehouses by hoodlums in the State.
Properties vandalized or looted within the state capital include; Customs Office, Federal Road Safety Office, Primary Healthcare Development Agency, NEMA office, COVID-19 Isolation Centre at Kofare, Shamad Concept Nig. Ltd, North East Commodity Association (NECAS), Kofare.
