UNILAG GOVERNING COUNCIL SACKS VICE-CHANCELLOR
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Governing Council has sacked its Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Olawatoyin Ogundipe.
This development took place on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020, during a meeting of the Governing Council of the institution which held at the National Universities Commission (NUC) building in Abuja.
The meeting was presided over by the institution's Pro- Chancellor, Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN).
It was learnt that seven members of the Governing Council voted for the removal of Prof. Ogundipe while four voted against it.
Only one member voted that he should be suspended.
