POLICE ARREST 48 SUSPECTS AGAIN IN CONNECTION WITH THE MILE 12 CRISIS
The Lagos State Police command has again arrested 48 suspects in connection with the violence that erupted at Mile 12 area of Lagos State on Thursday May 6.
In a statement by the State’s Police PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was discovered that a certain Aliyu Shuainu stabbed one Sadiq Oloyo who lost his life before medicare could be administered to him. This prompted some hoodlums to embark on a reprisal attack sparking tension and pandemonium in the area.
Upon receiving the development, CP Hakeem Odumosu deployed a team of security operatives to restore peace and calm to the area, and 48 suspects were arrested in the process.
Recall, Eons Intelligence reported on Wednesday that CP ODumosu ordered the arrest of 13 leaders of warring groups in the area who were involved in the crisis rocking Gengere Community, Mile 12, Ketu, Lagos on 30th April 2021.
The Police boss also said the command and other security agencies will adopt a 24-hour patrol and surveillance in the area until the hoodlums are arrested and normalcy is returned to the area.
Recall that the Police Commissioner said at the beginning of the year that the command was not going to tolerate any criminality in the State.
