UNKNOWN GUNMEN ABDUCT APC CHAIRMAN IN ZAMFARA
Unknown gunmen have abducted Sani Dangwaggo, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gamji ward of Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
This incident comes barely one month to the Bakura Local Government by-election for the State House of Assemble slated for October 31, 2020.
Police spokesperson in the State, Muhammed Shehu, confirmed the incident in statement on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
Shehu said the incident happened around 11pm on Tuesday night at his residence in Gamji community, in Bakura, Zamfara State.
The Police Spokesperson, who explained that the victim was a representative of the district head of Gamji, stated that security operatives have been mobilized to trail the abductors and ensure the unconditional release of Sani Dangwaggo.
In recent weeks, several communities in Zamfara have been attacked by gunmen who kill residents and abduct others.
