CAMEROONIAN SOLDIERS REPEL BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS ATTACK ON COMMUNITY

Cameroonian troops, on August 23, successfully warded off an attack perpetrated by Boko Haram Terrorists on Moskota village, in the country's far north region. 

 

 

A source familiar with the incident says Moskota came under attack on Sunday night when the armed insurgents stormed the settlement shooting sporadically as residents fled their houses.

 

The gallant Cameroonian soldiers on getting the distress signal mobilized to the scene causing the gunmen to flee.

The same source revealed that the insurgents had attacked Kolofata town on the night of August 22. 

 

The gunmen ransacked several houses and carted away valuables of the residents. 

 

Unfortunately, luck was not on the side of the insurgents, as the Cameroonian soldiers intercepted them which caused them to flee and abandon the stolen items.

Boko Haram Terrorists attacks have intensified in far North Cameroon, which borders the Islamist terror group's bases around Lake Chad and Northeastern Nigeria, since 2014. 

 

More than 2,000 persons have been killed in the region since 2014, according to security reports.
