GUNMEN KILL THREE POLICEMEN IN EBONYI, CART AWAY RIFLES
Eons Intelligence have gathered that Gunmen in Wednesday April 14 killed three policemen and carted away their rifles Along Onuebonyi/Nwezenyi Road in Abakaliki LGA of Ebonyi State.
Sources say that the incident occurred while the victims were on a ‘stop and search’ operation.
Recall, on February 5, Eons Intelligence reported that gunmen set ablaze the Onicha Divisional Headquarters, Isu, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
There have been unprecedented attacks on security operatives and police facilities by unknown armed men in the South-East, Two weeks ago, gunmen stormed the Owerri correctional centre and the Police headquarters, freeing over 1800 inmates, the largest in Nigeria’s history, and also razing over 50 vehicles.
24 hours after the incident, gunmen on Tuesday set another Police Station ablaze in Imo State, at Ehime Mbano Local Government Area Divisional Police Headquarters in Imo State, freed all the suspects in detention before setting the police facility ablaze.
This prompted the South-Easter Governors’ forum in the country to set up a security outfit called Ebube Agu to help tackle the menace of insecurity ravaging the region in recent weeks.
