LAGOS DISCHARGES 21 COVID-19 PATIENTS

Lagos state government today discharged 21 more coronavirus patients from its isolation centres, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced on Twitter. 

 

The discharged patients, 4 females and 17 males have all been cleared of the COVID-19 virus after two tests.

 

According to the governor, 3 of the discharged patients are from Onikan,1 from Eti-Osa, 1 from First Cardiology Hospital, 6 from Lekki and 10 from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres. 

 

Lagos as thus far successfully managed and discharged 469 COVID-19 patients out of 1764 confirmed cases in the state.

 

Governor Sanwo-Olu urged residence to obey all stipulated public health safety guidelines including physical distancing, the use of face mask, and frequent washing of hands.

The discharge of #COVID19 patients is encouraging but we must continue to practice hand hygiene, wear a mask and physically distance ourselves when outdoors.

 

“If we continue to do the right things and obey the stipulated public health safety guidelines, together we can break the chain of transmission,” he added.
