NIGERIAN ARMY KILL 28 BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS AND RECOVER SEVERAL AMMUNITION IN GUJBA VILLAGE
The Nigerian Army on Saturday January 9 killed about 28 Boko Haram terrorists and recovered several ammunition in Gujba village, Yobe State.
Eons Intelligence on Saturday reported that the assailants ambushed a security patrol on the highway before invading the village where they shot sporadically and set some structures ablaze.
However, during the encounter, troops of Operation TURA TAKAIBANGO tactically out-numbered the terrorists and engaged them with superior fire power resulting in the death of about 28 criminals.
One soldier was however killed by the terrorists while another was brutally wounded during the encounter.
The wounded soldier is presently at the military medical facility in Your where he is responding positively to treatment.

It was gathered that several other terrorists escaped into a nearby forest with gunshot wounds.
Subsequently, one Boko Haram Gun Truck was destroyed by the troops while another Gun Truck was captured from the fleeing assailants.
Other ammunition recovered from the terrorists include; 2 Anti Aircraft Guns, 13 AK 47 Rifles, 4 extra magazines and a vulcanizing Machine.
Recall, on Thursday, the insurgents launched an attack on Geidam community in Gujba Local Government setting shops ablaze and carting away drugs from a hospital in the process.
Similarly, the Nigerian Army on Thursday destroyed one of the strongest enclaves of ISWAP fighters located in Gorgore forest killing several Jihadists in the process.

The Nigerian Army also killed several bandits and recovered rustled livestock in separate encounters in Katsina and Zamfara on Saturday.
