BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS ATTACK YOBE COMMUNITY, SET STRUCTURES ABLAZE
Reports indicate that gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists on Saturday attacked Gujba town in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Recall, on Thursday, the insurgents launched an attack on Geidam community in Gujba Local Government setting shops ablaze and carting away drugs from a hospital in the process.
It was gathered that the assailants ambushed a security patrol on the highway before invading the community where they shot sporadically and set some structures ablaze.
Confirming the incident, the Yobe state Police PRO, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, said the number of casualties recorded from the attack cannot be ascertained at this time.
This comes barely 48 hours after the Nigeria Army destroyed one of the strongest enclaves of ISWAP fighters located in Gorgore forest killing several Jihadists in the process.
