NSCDC DEPLOYS 3000 PERSONNEL TO ENFORCE TRAVEL BAN IN KADUNA
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command has deployed 3,000 of its personnel to enforce ban on interstate and intrastate travels as the Eid-el-Fitri celebration approaches.
This was disclosed by the Command's Public Relations Officer, Omdir Terzungwe, on Thursday, May 21.
Terzungwe said the 3,000 personnel will secure borders linking Kaduna State to other States to ensure that no one leaves or enters the State.
The development is one of the strategies put in place by the State Government to ensure that the COVID-19 safety guidelines are adhered to during the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
Recall, Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai said he will personally patrol all borders linking Kaduna and Kano to avoid penetration.
El-Rufai said, as part of the measures put in place by his administration to curb the spread of Coronavirus, he will ensure that borders linking Kaduna and Kano are personally safe guided by him.
"I will remain there from morning till night to see will dare enter Kaduna State. I will not leave until late at night."

According to the statement by the NSCDC, all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers have been directed to enforce the restriction on movement.
The Command urged residents who live at entry points in the State to ensure that no perpetrator comes into the State through illegal routes.
