BOBI WINE REJECTS UGANDA ELECTION RESULTS, DECLARES HIMSELF WINNER
Ugandan opposition leader, Bobi Wine, has rejected the early results from the country's presidential elections, and has declared himself winner.
Wine, who claimed the election was marred by fraud and violence, described the polls which gave President Yoweri Museveni a massive lead as a 'Joke.'
Results from 29% polling stations in Uganda gave President Yoweri Museveni an early lead of 65% while Wine trail with 27%, with the full results expected to be out by Saturday afternoon.
“I am very confident that we defeated the dictator by far. I call upon all Ugandans to reject the blackmail. We have certainly won the election and we’ve won it by far.
“The people of Uganda voted massively for change of leadership from a dictatorship to a democratic government. But Mr. Museveni is trying to paint a picture that he is in the lead. What a joke," he told newsmen in Kampala, the nation's capital

Wine, 38, is the major rival to Uganda's leader, President Museveni, who is seeking a sixth term in office after having ruled for nearly four decades.
Reports say voting in Kampala took place under heightened security presence of soldiers and riot police in communities and at polling units.
The Electoral Commissioner, Chief Simon Mugenyi Byabakama however said the polls had proceeded in a 'peaceful and tranquil manner.'
Also, Police spokesperson in Uganda, Fred Enanga, said there had been no major casualties of violence reported
