7 SOLDIERS KILLED IN AMBUSH ATTACK ON BIRNIN GWARI ROAD, KADUNA

Bandits on Saturday killed 7 soldiers on the Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna state.  


Eons Intelligence gathered that the soldiers were ambushed a few days after bandits killed at 23 persons and injured many others in Chikun, Igabi, Giwa, Birnin Gwari, and Kauru local government areas of the state. 


Kaduna, among other North Western States in Nigeria has suffered a series of banditry attacks involving killings and abductions.

In January, Umar Muri, the Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, ordered the immediate deployment of more personnel comprising of conventional Police Officers, Police Mobile Force, Operatives of the Puff Adder exercise, the anti-Kidnapping unit and undercover operatives to curb the activities of criminal elements along the Kaduna-Birni Gwari road.


However, bandits still wreak havoc in the state. On Saturday 6, bandits carried out two separate attacks in Birnin Gwari and Kajuru local government areas of Kaduna State leaving at least 19 people dead and several others injured.


The assailants also burnt several houses, storehouses with foodstuff, warehouses loaded with building materials, and a church.
