NIGERIANS REACT AS SOLDIERS ALLEGEDLY RAID HOSTELS IN IMO VARSITY, KILL AND ARREST STUDENTS

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their displeasure following reports that soldiers allegedly raided hostels in Imo State University, killing and arresting students whom they labeled as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Online sources say the soldiers have been invading the hostels since Friday, arresting and shooting unarmed students,

A Twitter user with the handle, @Anthony_fedora said; ‘’They’ve started picking up IMSU students and tagging them as IPOB members. Oraifite has been on fire since morning, everyone is mostly indoors. My peaceful Owerri is gone Broken heartBroken heart.’’

‘’Dead bodies everywhere. Army raided a lodge in Imsu yesterday and killed over 10 boys for no fucking reason. They’re killing the youths in owerri. A 200l student was killed today at mbaise road by the Nigerian army,’’ another tweet from a handle @silly_switguy reads.

Another Twitter user also tweeted; ‘’I called a brother that leaves at Ukwu Uratta to confirm the Imsu Hotel arrests, I was told Unidentifiable Armed men stormed a hotel and took some boys away, while shooting sporadically in the air.

This whole thing don tire me, I really don't know what to say at this point.’’

Eons Intelligence gathered that IMSU is currently conducting exams and students of the institution have asked that the exams be postponed due to insecurity in the State.

This weekend, unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed IPOB/ESN razed down a police station, a High court, and a health centre in Njaba LGA of Imo State.
