TWO POLICEMEN KILLED AS GUNMEN KIDNAP EXPATRIATES IN UKOM, BENUE STATE

Two policemen and an expatriate were on Wednesday morning killed after unknown gunmen attacked Symmetry Trading Company Limited in the Ukom local government area of Benue state. 


Eons Intelligence gathered that gunmen who laid ambush at the construction site around 7.30 am, also kidnapped two Chinese expatriates.


DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine, the police spokesperson in the state confirmed the incident to newsmen, saying the policemen posted to escort the expatriates came under heavy fire and two officers lost their lives during the exchange of gunfire.

She added that more policemen have been deployed to the area to fish out the hoodlums and rescue the kidnap victims.
