GOVERNOR UDOM EMMANUEL LIFTS CURFEW IN AKWA IBOM
Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel, on Sunday, November 22, lifted the curfew in the State.
In a statement by the Commissioner of Information and strategy in the State, Ini Ememmobong, the Governor lifted the curfew following the return of normalcy and wide consultations with the security architecture in Akwa Ibom.
Governor Emmanuel, who appreciated the residents for their understanding and cooperation, also commended the gallantry and dedication displayed by security personnel throughout the period of the curfew.
He added that security operatives are still maintaining high level alert and are prepared to decisively deal with any attempt at the disruption of peace and subversion of law and order in the State.
