ONDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION: PDP EXTENDS SALE OF NOMINATION FORM

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has extended the sale of its nomination forms for the Ondo State Governorship election.


Kola Ologbondiyan, Party National Publicity Secretary, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, June 22, in Abuja.


Ologbondiyan said that the deadline for the sales of the form had been extended by two days, from June 22 to June 24.


“By this, the party extends the last day for the sale of nomination forms from the earlier announced date of Monday, June 22, to a new date of Wednesday, June 24.


“All other time frames related to the nomination processes for the Ondo state governorship election remains as earlier announced.


“All leaders, governorship aspirants, critical stakeholders and members of our great party in Ondo state should be guided accordingly,” Ologbodiyan said.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement issued by the party, on Monday, June 22, Ologbondiyan declared that the All Progressive Congress’ (APC) candidate for the Edo Governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, is “not a match for any of the PDP aspirants for the Edo governorship election”.


He noted that Ize-Iyamu emerged as a candidate through the crudest governorship election primary ever, in the history of the nation.


Ologbondiyan added that “the people of Edo State had written off the turned the party into a butt of the street joke as well as a new metaphor for disdain for the people.”
